The Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans have discussed a trade involving DeMarcus Cousins during All-Star weekend.

While no trade is imminent, a source says there is a 50/50 chance of a deal materializing involving Cousins and the Pelicans before the deadline.

Cousins has consistently said he would like to sign an extension with the Kings.

The Kings are known to like both Buddy Hield and Jrue Holiday.

Any team trading for Cousins would likely want assurances that he would be interested in signing an extension, though they would be limited to a four-year deal and not the designated player five-year extension the Kings can sign him to.
