The Orlando Magic will offer their president of basketball operations to David Griffin.

Orlando will be allowed to engage Griffin in contract talks once the Cleveland Cavaliers' season is over.

Griffin is without a contract for next season with the Cavaliers and the two sides have been unable to hold meaningful talks on an extension. Griffin could still ultimately remain with the Cavaliers.

LeBron James has endorsed Griffin receiving an extension from Cleveland.

Orlando fired Rob Hennigan at the start of the offseason.
