The Houston Rockets exceeded expectations during the first season of Mike D'Antoni's tenure in which he maximized James Harden as an MVP candidate.

With the Golden State Warriors taking a step forward with the addition of Kevin Durant, however, the Rockets know they will need to be even better to get past them.

Houston signed Eric Gordon, Ryan Anderson and Nene last year while adding Lou Williams at the deadline.

"They are not unbeatable," Morey said of Golden State. "There have been bigger upsets in sports history. We are going to keep improving our roster."

"We are used to long odds," Morey added. "If Golden State makes the odds longer, we might up our risk profile and get even more aggressive. We have something up our sleeve."
