The Los Angeles Lakers had interest in moving up to No. 1 in order to draft Markelle Fultz but they did not have enough available assets to match the Philadelphia 76ers' offer to the Boston Celtics.

The Lakers are expected to choose between Lonzo Ball and Josh Jackson at No. 2.

Magic Johnson reportedly was "in love" with Fultz after his workout with the Lakers this week.
