The Indiana Pacers have discussed trade scenarios involving Paul George with several teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kevin Pritchard was informed by George's agent that he plans on signing elsewhere in 2018 and that the Pacers should plan accordingly.

With George preferring to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, teams are viewing him as a "one-year rental."

The Cavaliers do not have any young players and future picks that would tempt Indiana and George hasn't mentioned Cleveland as an intriguing destination.

The Pacers are asking for a substantial trade package of talent and draft picks.

The Pacers had an opportunity to trade George at the deadline, but elected to keep him.
