The Cleveland Cavaliers have pursued trade scenarios for both Paul George and Jimmy Butler, but those efforts appear to have led to a dead end.

Cleveland was attempting to recruit a third team to take on Kevin Love to send the type of rebuilding assets the Indiana Pacers and Chicago Bulls seek.

"Nope. Not happening," said Brian Windhorst. "The Cavs were not generating enough trade interest in Kevin Love."

The Cavaliers acquired Love in 2014 in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves for Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett. Cleveland then re-signed Love on a five-year, $110 million contract in 2015. Love has been the least valuable part of the Cavaliers' Big 3 and there are long-term concerns about his deficiencies on defense and his injury history.
