The Cleveland Cavaliers will be leading contenders to sign Carmelo Anthony if he agrees to an offseason buyout with the New York Knicks, sources tell ESPN.

Anthony is owed $26.2 million in 17-18 and $27.9 million in 18-19.

The Knicks would like to trade Anthony but he owns a full no-trade clause. Anthony reportedly doesn't want to move too far away from New York. Phil Jackson has publicly requested Anthony accept a trade from the Knicks. In the past, Anthony has been open to a trade to the Cavaliers or the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Cavaliers could also sign Dwyane Wade if he agrees upon a buyout with the Chicago Bulls.
