Nick Young has agreed upon a one-year, $5.2 million deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Young opted out of his $5.7 million player option with the Los Angeles Lakers for 17-18.

Young repaired his reputation across the NBA last season with the Lakers, committing himself to taking the game more seriously and also improving his defensive play under Luke Walton.

Young averaged 13.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game for the Lakers in 16-17 with a PER of 14.1 and True Shooting Percentage of .588.

According to Sam Amick of the USA Today, Kevin Durant was active in recruiting Young to the Warriors.
