Kristaps Porzingis wants to look forward now that's he's returned to the New York Knicks after an offseason in which he skipped his exit meeting and was in trade talks.

"I'm coming into this season with a fresh mind. It's a new season. I want to leave what happened, I want to leave it in the past," Porzingis said when asked if he was still angry with the organization. "The past is the past. I don't want to talk about that no more. I want to talk about this season. I'm just excited to be here."

Sources say Porzingis skipped the meeting due to his displeasure with the dysfunction in the organization under Phil Jackson and Steve Mills.

"I have faith in those people and I believe they want us to grow," he said. "They want for me to be in a position where I can succeed. I'm excited. A lot of new things are happening. A lot of new people are here. There's going to be a lot of changes. I'm coming in, as I said, with a fresh mind. I'm looking forward to this season."
