Anthony Davis said he was confident that the Los Angeles Lakers could beat any team in a playoff series during his introductory press conference on Saturday.

"I would put our roster up against anybody. I feel like that in a seven-game series that we would come out victorious," said Davis.

Davis said he spoke with Rob Pelinka and LeBron James on how to best divide the rest of the Lakers' cap space after waiving his $4 million trade kicker.

"It was like every day. On the hour," said Davis.

Davis added that he's a power forward, though he would play center if the team needed him in that position.

"I like playing the 4. I'm not even going to sugarcoat it. I like playing the 4. I don't really like playing the 5. If it comes down to it, Coach, and you need me to play the 5, then I'll play the 5."
