Several Brooklyn Nets players are in favor of the team signing Carmelo Anthony, league sources told Ian Begley of SNY.

The Nets' roster is maxed out with 15 players under guaranteed contracts, though Wilson Chandler's 25-game suspension opens up a way for the team to sign Anthony after the fifth game of the season.

The Athletic reported in August that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving had been "pushing" management to sign Anthony.

The Nets currently have 17 players under contract heading into training, with room to add three more players.
