Between the 00-01 and 09-10 season, there have been 71 players named to the All-SEC First Team (as voted by the coaches).

Kentucky: 13

Florida won two National Championships in the decade, but the Wildcats have arguably had the more talented collection of players.

Patrick Patterson and Tayshaun Prince each made the team as sophomore and juniors, but the other nine nods came in single seasons.

Most recently, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins were honored as freshmen, the only two in the conference during the decade to do so.

While forgettable players like Ramel Bradley and Gerald Fitch were Wildcats to make the First Team, Rajon Rondo was a Second Team selection as a sophomore in 2006.

Florida: 12

The Gators have produced multiple First Team bids from Joakim Noah, Udonis Haslem and Anthony Roberson.

Al Horford and David Lee, two former Billy Donovan players who signed big NBA contracts in 2010, made the First Team just once. Horford and Lee each had a Second Team appearance.

Mississippi State: 9

Even though the only former Bulldog in the NBA is Erick Dampier, who was drafted back in 1996, the team has done well in producing solid SEC players.

Jamon Gordon (07, 08), Jarvis Varnado (09, 10) and Lawrence Roberts (04, 05) each were First Team selections twice.

Joining that trio has been Mario Austin, Timmy Bowers and Charles Rhodes.

Alabama: 8

Alabama has four current NBA players, but none were First Team selections during the most recent decade. Antonio McDyess was drafted in 1995, while Gerald Wallace, Mo Williams and Alonzo Gee never made a First Team.

Kennedy Winston made two First Teams (04, 05), while players like Richard Hendrix, Jermareo Davidson, Ronald Steele and Rod Grizzard received distinction.

Tennessee: 8

Chris Lofton made three First Teams and Tyler Smith was on two for the Volunteers.

Wayne Chism was Tennessee's most recent First Team, making the 2010 edition.

LSU: 6

Glen Davis made two First Teams, while Brandon Bass, Marcus Thornton, Tasmin Mitchell and Darrel Mitchell each were on two.

To LSU's credit, they have had three of the past six Players of the Year in Thornton, Davis and Bass.

Vanderbilt: 5

Shan Foster made the First Team as a sophomore in 2006 and again as a senior in 2008. Derrick Byars made it as a senior in that Foster gap year in 2007.

Foster and Byars won consecutive Players of the Year in 2007 and 2008.

South Carolina: 4

Devan Downey, one of the SEC's all-time best small guards, owns three of the Gamecocks' four First Team nods. Tre Kelley grabbed the fourth in 2007.

Renaldo Balkman, the only current player in the NBA from South Carolina, did win the 2006 Postseason NIT MVP.

Georgia: 3

As a sophomore in 2010, Trey Thompkins joined freshmen Wall and Cousins on the First Team.

Jarvis Hayes owns the other two selections, with those seasons coming in 2002 and 2003.

Arkansas: 3

Ronnie Brewer was a First Team selection in 2005 and 2006 for the Razorbacks.

Sonny Weems made the First Team as a senior in 2008.

Ole Miss: 1

Terrico White broke a six-year streak of Ole Miss players being ignored in the draft and made Detroit's roster, but the former SEC Freshman of the Year topped out as a Second Team selection in 2010.

Another former SEC Freshman of the Year and second round pick, Justin Reed, was a First Team selection in 2004.
