Lester Quinones was named the NBA G League Player of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb. 26.

Quinones averaged 31.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists in four games for Santa Cruz (3-1).

The New York Knicks are set to sign guard Duane Washington Jr. to a two-way contract. Washington was previously with the Phoenix Suns on a two-way deal this season.

Washington appeared in 31 NBA games this season while with the Suns, including seven starts. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 7.9 points in 12.7 minutes per game this season.

Washington played with the Indiana Pacers last season and appeared in 48 NBA games while on a two-way and standard contract. Washington averaged 9.9 points in 20.2 minutes per game for Indiana.

The San Antonio Spurs have claimed forward Julian Champagnie off waivers on a two-way contract.

Champagnie, 6-8/220, was most recently on a two-way with the Philadelphia 76ers before being waived on Feb. 14. He appeared in two games with the 76ers and 18 G League games with the Delaware Blue Coats, averaging 14.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 28.5 minutes.

Champagnie went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft after spending three years (2019-22) at St. John’s University, where he garnered All-Big East First Team honors as a sophomore and junior. The former Red Storm forward averaged 16.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 30.7 minutes in 88 games.

Grant Riller has been named the NBA G League Player of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 6 through Sunday, Feb. 12.  

Riller averaged 38.5 points and 3.0 assists in two games, helping the Legends to a 2-0 record.

The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to sign Charles Bassey to a four-year, $10.2 million deal.

Bassey was on a Two-Way contract with the Spurs.

Bassey will have $5.2 million of his contract guaranteed. 

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to sign Mac McClung to a Two-Way contract.

Philadelphia will waive Julian Champagnie to create the roster spot for McClung.

McClung will be in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest this weekend.

The Miami Heat have agreed to sign Jamaree Bouyea to a 10-day contract from the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Bouyea is averaging 19 points, five assists and five rebounds per games in the G League this season.

Bouyea is a 6'2 guard who went undrafted out of San Francisco in 2022.

The Cleveland Charge’s Sharife Cooper has been named NBA G League Player of the Month for games played in January 2023.

In eight games played during the month of January, Cooper averaged 27.4 points on .500 shooting with 4.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.0 steal in 34.2 minutes per game.  Sharife started off the month with a 34-point effort on 12-of-16 shooting in a January 2ndwin in Westchester that began an eight-game winning streak for the Charge.  In the January 8th win in Fort Wayne, Cooper scored a career-high 43 points with 10 assists, nine rebounds and four steals.  In the January 18th victory in Greensboro, Sharife scored 15 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter to help propel the team to their seventh-straight win.

Cleveland was 7-1 in the eight games that Cooper played in January and 9-1 overall for the month, while Sharife is currently the leading scorer for the entire NBA G League by averaging 26.8 points per game.  Cooper is the first player in Charge team history to receive Player of the Month honors.
