The Maine Red Claws have acquired Hamady N'Diaye from the Available Player Pool. A 2010 Draft selection of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the 7-0, 236 lb. center joins the Red Claws after having spent the past two seasons in the Washington Wizards organization.
N’Diaye, who had never played basketball until high school, set school records at Rutgers University for blocks in a season (145) and career (358) before being named the All Big East Defensive Player of the Year in 2010. The Senegal native was drafted 56th overall by the Minnesota Timberwoves in 2010 before his rights were traded to the Washington Wizards.

The Maine Red Claws have acquired guard Mike Gerrity from the Available Player Pool.
Gerrity most recently played for the Erie BayHawks, where he averaged 7.3 ppg in 18 games played this season, including 8.3 ppg in four games against the Red Claws. Despite appearing in just 18 games with the BayHawks this season, Gerrity ranks 3rd this season in assists on the team with 79, trailing just D.J. Kennedy and Keith McLeod, each with 26 games played. His assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.04 is among the best in the league this season.
The Philadelphia 76ers have assigned Craig Brackins to their NBA Development League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws.
Brackins has appeared in eight games for the Sixers this season.
Brackins (6-10, 230) was assigned to the D-League three times last season with the Sixers old affiliate, the Springfield Armor. In 18 games for the Armor, he averaged 20.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 37.6 minutes per game while shooting 44.0% from the floor, 24.7% from 3-point range and 72.7% from the line. He was tied for the eighth highest scoring average of any D-League player last season.
