Olivier Sarr sustained a left Achilles tendon rupture during Game 3 of the G League Finals this past Monday night.

A timeline for Sarr’s return to play will be updated in the coming months. 

In 15 games this season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Sarr averaged 2.3 points on 56.0% shooting to go along with 2.4 rebounds in 6.5 minutes. Sarr also saw action in 18 games with the Blue and averaged 14.0 points, 13.1 rebounds (2nd in G League) and 2.3 blocks in 28.2 minutes. 

The Oklahoma City Blue won its first ever G League Championship after beating the Maine Celtics 117-100 on Monday night.

The Blue won the best-of-three series 2-1.

Ousmane Dieng was named the MVP after finishing with 25 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

JD Davison lead Maine with 22 points and 10 assists.

The New Orleans Pelicans have converted forward Matt Ryan to a standard NBA contract. Ryan had been playing for the Pelicans on a two-way deal.

This season, Ryan has appeared in 27 NBA games for New Orleans. The 6-foot-6 forward has averaged 5.6 points and shot 45.1% on three-pointers.

The Golden State Warriors are converting Usman Garuba to a standard contract. Garuba had played with the Warriors on a two-way contract this season. Garuba will be eligible to play in the postseason after being converted.

The 6-foot-8 big man only appeared in five NBA games this season. In 35 G League games with the Santa Cruz Warriors, Garuba averaged 12.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.

The Philadelphia 76ers are filling their final open roster with an internal promotion. The Sixers are signing guard Ricky Council to a four-year, $7.4 million contract. Council has been with Philadelphia on a two-way contract. Council will be eligible to play in the postseason for the Sixers.

Council signed a two-way deal with the 76ers after going undrafted out of Arkansas at the 2023 NBA Draft. He's appeared in 31 NBA games this season and averaged 5.5 points on 48.2% shooting.

In 27 G League games this season, the 6-foot-6 wing averaged 23.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and a steal per game. In two G League playoff games for the Delaware Blue Coats, Council averaged 29.5 points.

Matas Buzelis of G League Ignite will declare as an Early Entry Candidate for the 2024 NBA Draft. Buzelis grew up in the United States, but plays for Lithuania in international competitions.

In 34 games (32 starts), the 6-foot-10 forward averaged 14.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. Buzelis shot 45.5% from the field and 69.6% from the free throw line.

Sacramento Kings G League coach Lindsey Harding will interview for the Charlotte Hornets' head-coaching job.

Harding was voted the 2024 G League Coach of the Year in her first season as head coach of the Kings.

Harding was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 WNBA draft.

The Maine Celtics will meet the Oklahoma City Blue in 2024 G League Finals. The G League Finals are a best-of-three format with Maine hosting Games 1 and 3 and Oklahoma City hosting Game 2. The schedule is as follows:

Game 1 - at Maine - Tuesday, April 9 - 8:00 PM ET

Game 2 - at Oklahoma City - Thursday April 11 - 8:00 PM ET

Game 3 - at Maine - Monday, April 15 - 9:00 PM ET *if necessary

Maine advanced to the Finals after beating the Delaware Blue Coats and Long Island Nets, following a bye. Oklahoma City came in as the third seed and had to beat the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, before road wins over the Siout Falls Skyforce and Stockton Kings.

Alondes Williams has been named hte 23-24 G League Most Improved Player.

In his second G League season, Williams averaged 21.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 7.3 assists in 27 games. 

Mac McClung has been named Most Valuable Player for the 23-24 G League season.

McClung averaged 25.7 points to go with 4.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists in 27 games.

Miami Heat Two-Way guard Alondes Williams (Sioux Falls Skyforce) and Utah Jazz assignee Kenneth Lofton Jr. (Salt Lake City Stars / Delaware Blue Coats) finished second and third in voting, respectively.
