The Houston Rockets have assigned rookie forward Royce White to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets’ NBA Development League affiliate.  

White was selected in the first round (16th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Rockets and appeared in four preseason games for the team, averaging 2.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 12.3 minutes.  He has been on Houston’s inactive list for much of the season.   

James Anderson will sign with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the D-League, according to sources.

Anderson had a workout with the Wolves following his release by the Spurs.

The Houston Rockets have reassigned rookie forward Terrence Jones to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets’ NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the third for Jones this year. 

Jones rejoins the Vipers after having played in two games for the team, averaging 22.5 points, 17.5 rebounds, 1.0 block and 36.0 minutes. Jones has appeared in 11 games for the Rockets this season, averaging 3.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 8.3 minutes. 

The Houston Rockets have re-assigned rookies Donatas Motiejunas and Terrence Jones to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets’ NBA Development League affiliate.  

Motiejunas (7-0, 222, Kaunas, Lithuania) returns to the Vipers having played in two games for the team in November, averaging 24.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 37.0 minutes. 

Jones (6-9, 252, Kentucky) rejoins the Vipers following a two-game assignment earlier in the season. In those two games he averaged 22.5 points, 17.5 rebounds, 1.0 block and 36.0 minutes.
