The Heat have sent Dexter Pittman to the D-League, where he will play for the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

“That’s the whole purpose of me going, to get some game situations up under me,” Pittman said. “I’ve put in a lot of hard work but it’s not right just to throw me out there with the big guys yet. Even though I’m physically ready. I’ve got to go there and get mentally ready and IQ wise.”

Cheikh Samb is said to be considering buying out of his NBA D-League contract to sign with a team on another continent.

The Skyforce currently hold the rights of Samb, a former second round pick of the Lakers.
