Chris Egi Considering Stanford, Harvard, Washington

Jul 29, 2013 2:56 PM

Chris Egi is a 6’9”, 210 lbs forward from St. Andrew’s College in Canada. He has committed to Montverde Academy for this year and is being recruited intensely by Stanford, Harvard and Washington.

At the CIA Bounce Caribana Classic Tournament this past weekend, Egi stated why he selected Montverde as his school of choice.

“I just want to play against tougher competition day in and day out. I think Coach (Kevin) Boyle and the coaching staff are going to push me every day in practice,” said Egi.

When asked what he loves the most about his game, Egi cited his motor and ability to outwork his opponents.

“Getting my body a little bit stronger to compete against bigger guys, and working on my jump shot from the mid-range area,” Egi told RealGM when asked what part of his game he’s been working on.

“If I could pick any school in the world, it would probably be Duke. That would be a dream come true,” continued Egi.

Good friends with Andrew Wiggins, when asked who he’d want to play for in the NBA, Egi said, “I would have to say the Raptors, my hometown team. I would love to team up with Andrew.”
