DaJuan Summers and Montepaschi Siena have parted ways.

Siena has a deal with Omar Thomas to fill Summers' slot on the roster.

Real Madrid has denied being in contract talks with Marc Gasol.

"We have never talked with Marc," said Real sports director Juan Carlos Sanchez. "Last time I've seen him was in Lithuania during Eurobasket."

Nicolas Batum was named MVP for Week 2 of the Euroleague Regular Season.

Batum finished with 26 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in an 87-73 Nancy victory over Bizkaia Bilbao Basket.

Devin Brown has been released by Asseco Prokom Gdynia.

Brown appeared in one Euroleague game and three VTB League outings.

Brown was reportedly out of shape after not playing during the 10-11 season.

Igor Rakocevic has signed with Montepaschi Siena.

I chose Montepaschi because it has great players and a great system" Rakocevic said. "I cannot wait to become part of this team. Derrick Rose received a concrete offer from a team in Croatia, but he will not be playing for the team unless the lockout becomes prolonged.

"We reached an economic agreement, but we could not find an agreement about the games," KK Zagreb's Hrvoje Ciketiae said in the interview. "Rose for sponsor obligations would have missed three Euroleague games. And we could not allow that."

The team said it wanted to sign Rose for 22 games.

Keith Langford has signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv for the 11-12 season.

Langford was most recently with Khimki.

Andrei Kirilenko was named Euroleague MVP for Week 1 of the Regular Season.

Kirilenko led CSKA Moscow to an 87-74 win over Zalgiris, in which he had 17 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and four blocks.

Kirilenko's FIC of 27.0 was comfortably the best of week.

Henry Domercant, Jaka Lakovic, Milos Teodosic and DeJuan Collins rounds out the top-five in FIC.

Bilbao Basket defeated Olympiacos by a final score of 76-61 in Week 1 of the Euroleague Regular Season.

Marko Banic had 22 points and five rebounds to lead Bilbao. D'or Fischer had 16 points and eight rebounds.

Martynas Gecevicius had 15 points in a losing effort for Olympiacos. Matt Howard had two points on four shots in 15 minutes.

Marcelinho Huertas, who was acquired this summer by Barcelona to replace Ricky Rubio, had an outstanding Euroleague debut with his new team in their 86-64 win over Union Olimpija.

Huertas had 17 points, eight assists and five rebounds, giving him a FIC40 of 26.5.

Pete Mickeal had 15 points, while Fran Vazquez added 10.

Barcelona had an eFG% of 58.8%, compared to just 45.0% for Union Olimpija.

Danny Green was Union Olimpija's leading scorer with 17 points. Davis Bertans went scoreless in just over four minutes of play.
