Jimmer Fredette Agrees To One-Year, $1.8M Deal With Shanghai

Jimmer Fredette has agreed to re-sign with the Shanghai Sharks on a one-year deal worth approximately $1.8 million.

Fredette averaged 37.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 40.5 minutes per game last season for Shanghai. Fredette was also named MVP of the CBA.

Fredette last played in the NBA in 15-16 with the New York Knicks.

Jimmer Fredette received multiple 10-day contract offers when he finished his season in China.

Fredette instead decided to stay home with his wife and their new daughter.

Shanghai would like to sign Fredette for the 17-18 season though they would likely have to improve on the $1.1 million salary after taxes he made this season. 

Fredette is also on a three-year endorsement deal from a Chinese sneaker company for $345,000 and another $300,000 in bonuses.
