The Boston Celtics have agreed to sign Daniel Theis through the 18-19 season.

Theis played for the Washington Wizards in Summer League in 2014.

Theis most recently played for Brose Baskets in Germany.

Theis is a 25-year-old stretch big.

David Blatt will remain as head coach of Darussafaka and will not return to Maccabi Tel Aviv this summer.

Blatt had agreed upon a new deal with Maccabi but was unable to reach an agreement with Darussafaka to be let out of his contract.

Blatt coached Maccabi from 2010 until 2014 when he joined the Cleveland Cavaliers. Blatt was fired as head coach of the Cavaliers in January of 2016.
