Nikola Mirotic has signed an extension with Barcelona through the 24-25 season.

Mirotic was previously on a deal through 2022 with an option for 2023.

Mirotic was named Liga Endesa MVP on the back of his 19.5 points and 5.7 rebounds a game.

“I’m very happy and very grateful to the club for this new opportunity," said Mirotic. "I’m happy to have extended my contract. 2025 sounds great. So many years wearing this shirt and hopefully achieving further success. I look forward to repaying that trust.

“The club has trusted in me ever since I arrived. Everyone knows it is never easy to come back from the US, but the club has given me everything. They wanted to bring me here, the fans have been good to me, the energy is great and I have often said how surprised I have seen to be so well received.”

Dragan Bender has agreed to sign with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Bender played for Maccabi before he was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2016.

Bender spent last season with the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors.

Maccabi is believed to have given Bender an NBA out in his contract. 

Ty Lawson was cut from the Fujian Sturgeons in the Chinese Basketball Association due to "inappropriate comments" he made on social media.

Lawson, who lead Fujian to a playoff berth last season, had stayed in China during the CBA offseason.

The Sturgeons released a statement saying that Lawson violated the "social responsibilities and core values" of the team.

The 32-year-old Lawson has not commented on the departure. 

Marc Gasol will consider continuing his professional career in Europe now that his contract in the NBA has ended.

Gasol's decision could hinge on family reasons as he could still command a more lucrative contract in the NBA.

Gasol spent the past season and a half with the Toronto Raptors.

The European season will begin before the NBA even hits free agency, which could complicate his decision.

Jeremy Lin has announced he will seek a return to the NBA next season.

Lin played this season for the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association. 

Facundo Campazzo could leave Real Madrid for the NBA this season with the Minnesota Timberwolves considered the most likely team, per Marca.

Campazzo is a 5'11 point guard from Argentina. Pablo Prigioni is an assistant coach with the Wolves.

The Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs are also referenced as possibilities.
