Spain Wins 2011 EuroBasket

Spain defeated France by a final score of 98-85 to win the 2011 EuroBasket.

Tournament MVP Juan Carlos Navarro had 27 points and five assists to lead Spain, while Pau Gasol and Jose Calderon each had 17. 

Tony Parker had 26 points for France in a losing effort.

Navarro was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Pau Gasol, Parker, Bo McCalebb and Andrei Kirilenko.

Russia was led again by Andrei Kirilenko, who scored 21 points.

Andrei Kirilenko led Russia with 14 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks.

Milos Teodosic had 20 points on 15 shots in a losing effort for Serbia.

France held Greece to just 34% shooting from the floor.

Ioannis Bourousis had 17 points for Greece.

Spain shot 8-for-21 from distance.

Goran Dragic had 14 points and five rebounds for Slovenia.

Lithuania will advance to meet Spain in the semifinals.

McCalebb scored 23 points on 20 shots, while Vojdan Stajanovski had 15 points on five-for-five shooting from beyond the arc.

Jonas Valanciunas had three points and six rebounds in 14 minutes, while Robertas Javtokas led Lithuania with 13 points.

Joining him on the All-Tournament Team was teammate Manu Ginobili, Al Horford of the Dominican Republic, Carlo Arroyo of Puerto Rico and Marcelinho Huertas of Brazil.

Scola also won MVP honors in 2009 and 2007.
