Suns Fined $25K For Violating Injury Report Rules

Apr 30, 2022 7:51 PM

The NBA has fined the Phoenix Suns $25,000 for violating the NBA's injury report rules. The NBA ruled that Phoenix did not disclose Devin Booker's participation status in an accurate and timely manner prior to Game 6 against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Booker returned to the lineup for Game 6 after missing the previous three games due to a hamstring strain. The Suns closed out their first round series against the Pelicans in Game 6, with Booker scoring 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting.

Kings Narrow Finalists To Mike Brown, Steve Clifford, Mark Jackson

Apr 30, 2022 9:17 PM

The Sacramento Kings have narrowed down their list of head coach candidates. ESPN has reported that the Kings are considering former head coaches Mike Brown and Steve Clifford. The Athletic reported that former head coach and current ESPN broadcaster Mark Jackson is also on the list.

Sacramento GM Monte McNair has reportedly begun to inform candidates who are moving to the in-person interview phase.

Brown last led a team in 2014, when he was the coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. For the last six season, Brown has worked on Steve Kerr's staff with the Golden State Warriors.

Clifford has coached both the Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic. He was let go by Orlando in 2021. He's been working as a consultant to the Brooklyn Nets this season.

Mark Jackson coached the Golden State Warriors for three seasons and holds a career winning percentage of .526. Jackson has worked as a lead broadcaster for ESPN since the Warriors let him go after the 2014 season.

Nuggets Will Pay Luxury Tax 'If The Team Is Good Enough'

May 1, 2022 11:09 AM

The Denver Nuggets are poised to bounce back to contention with a healthy roster in 2023. To get there, the team will also need to add some help on their roster, and it appears Nuggets ownership is willing to pay to do so.

In his season-ending media availability, Nuggets president of basketball operations Tim Connelly said that the team's governors have given him clear direction on paying the luxury tax.

“If the team is good enough, they’ll pay accordingly. So, I don’t think that will be any sort of issue moving forward," Connelly said. "I mean, we're getting really, really expensive. It's a blessing and a curse because you're paying really good players."

The Nuggets have made only minimal tax payments in their history. And Denver hasn't been over the tax line since 2010. Denver is essentially at the tax line for next season with only eight players under contract. This puts them in position to pay the tax for the first time in over a decade.

Karl-Anthony Towns: Things Will Happen This Summer

Apr 30, 2022 9:40 AM

The Minnesota Timberwolves may have fallen in six games to the Memphis Grizzlies, but Karl-Anthony Towns remains bullish on his team's future. When asked about signing an extension with the Wolves, Towns was hopeful it would get done.

“I love this city. So, obviously things will happen this summer. When they happen, they happen. I've been here so long. I don’t like making prophecies. I’ll let it come if it comes. And if it comes, it comes, then we’ll deal with it when it comes," Towns said. "Just take every day, I’ve been here long enough to know that everyday things can change, so just be happy with where everything is at right now."

Towns added that he was tired from a tough, physical series. But that he's appreciative of the support he had this season.

“These guys did a lot for me coaching staff, teammates, this city, these fans," Towns said. "Just extremely honored to be in this position, to be wearing this jersey, representing the city and the state."

FanDuel Promo Code NY: Unlock Monster $1000 Bonus for NBA Playoffs

Apr 30, 2022 8:20 AM

Sure, New York teams are out of the NBA postseason but that doesn’t mean it’s time to stop watching. In fact, with the action heating up heading into the second round, there’s an opportunity for New York bettors to earn one of the top bonus in the industry thanks to the FanDuel Promo Code NY offer.

The FanDuel New York promo code is currently running through the end of the NBA postseason, and it’s giving all new players a risk-free bet up to $1,000! Simply grab the offer and you’ll be able to place a bet with less stress as you watch the NBA Playoffs roll along. We’ll go over everything you need to know to earn and redeem the FanDuel promo code offer today.

And even if you aren’t from NY, you can grab this offer – as long as you are in a state where FanDuel is licensed and live.

FanDuel Promo Code NY Offers Risk-Free Bet Up To $1,000

The Brooklyn Nets had title aspirations in 2022, and they were the title favorites for much of the season. But a first-round sweep at the hands of the Celtics put an end to that, and we all know that the New York Knicks didn’t come close to the second season. The Knicks and Nets are gone, but New York sports betting fans still have plenty to watch and root for. Especially if there is money on the line. That’s where the FanDuel promo code NY offer comes into play.

To earn your $1,000 risk-free bet, simply follow a few short steps. Register for a new account using the FanDuel New York promo code offer, which is actually hitting BET NOW in this article, which sends you to FanDuel (there is no actual code that needs to be entered). Complete your registration and then make a qualifying deposit.

Now you can find a bet that you really believe in and place a real-money wager on it up to $1,000. It can be $20, $300 or the full $1,000, but just be aware that only your first bet  is eligible for the FanDuel promo code NY insurance. If you place a $40 bet and then do another bet of $500 immediately after, only the $40 is insured.

If your bet wins, congrats! You won’t receive anything additional, but earning actual money is as good as it gets. But if your bet loses, the FanDuel NY promo code offer comes into play. Here’s how to redeem that free bet.

How FanDuel Promo Code NY Risk-Free Bet Works

If your first bet loses, you’ll notice that in the next few days you’ve got a free bet waiting in your account. It’ll be equal to the original amount you wagered and lost. Players then have 14 days to wager that free bet, which should be simple given how much NBA action is going on right now.

There’s an industry-best one-time playthrough requirement for New York bettors, and the original amount of the free bet is not included in winnings. So, if you had a $200 free bet and place it on +400 odds, a winner would yield $800 total, not $1000. However, that $800 acts as real money and can be withdrawn immediately.

The FanDuel promo code NY offer is generous, has easy playthrough requirements and opens the door to one of the best sports betting apps.

Erik Spoelstra Says James Harden 'Definitely Changes The Dynamic' Of Sixers

Apr 30, 2022 1:25 AM

Erik Spoelstra discussed the Miami Heat's upcoming series against the Philadelphia Sixers, including the difficulty of guarding both James Harden and Joel Embiid.

"They have two guys that really know how to draw fouls and do it exceptionally well," said Spoelstra on Friday.

Spoelstra made his comments before Embiid was ruled out indefinitely due to an orbital fracture.

Spoelstra added that Harden changes the look of the Sixers from their previous matchups.

"You're talking about an MVP player," said Spoelstra. "A guy who can manipulate the game; he can hurt you whether he's scoring or whether he's assisting, or whether he's just manipulating the defense."

Bam Adebayo said that he expects Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry to both be ready for Game 1 on Monday night.

"I'm expecting them to just get healthy day by day, honestly," Adebayo said. "If they can go, they can go. If they're not, we got to go out there regardless."

Zach LaVine Says 'I Plan To Enjoy Free Agency'

Apr 30, 2022 1:18 AM

Zach LaVine said that he plans to explore the market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

"I plan to enjoy free agency," said LaVine on Friday. "We're going to have to experience A through Z without making any fast decisions."

LaVine added that he isn't necessarily leaning in the Bulls' direction.

"I have to do this as a business decision, as a man, to not just be viewed one way and be like I'm automatically coming back or I'm automatically leaving," said LaVine.

The Bulls can currently offer a max contract worth more than $210 million over five seasons. Executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas was focused on his relationship with LaVine, adding "the last two years have been the best two years of his career, so we'll see what happens."

LaVine is currently set to undergo knee surgery this offseason.
