Troy Murphy was scheduled for separate phone calls on Monday with Pat Riley and Danny Ainge.
Both the Heat and Celtics are attempting to sign Murphy.
Sources indicate Murphy is "still torn" in trying to choose between the two teams.

The Knicks have decided to buyout Corey Brewer, who was acquired last week from Minnesota.
The Celtics, Spurs, Mavericks and Thunder are all interested in Brewer.
Troy Murphy has reached an agreement on a buyout with the Warriors, which is expected to be finalized on Monday.
Murphy is expected to choose between the Celtics and Heat after clearing waivers, according to Marc Stein. The Lakers and Knicks have not inquired about Murphy.
Portland also expressed interest, but the Celtics appear to be the favorite.
The Celtics are keeping a close eye on players that may become available on the waiver wire and which players might soon receive buyouts.
They are interested in Troy Murphy, according to sources, but are also keeping tabs on Dan Gadzuric, Sasha Pavlovic and Jason Kapono.
“Our team is still not whole,” said general manager Danny Ainge. “We started out great. We played great basketball with Shaq (O’Neal) in the middle. I think it’ll be easier for Shaq to return in a starting position, which I think he has earned with his play this year.”
The Celtics are 1-0 with Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic in the lineup, beating the Clippers by a 99-92 final on Saturday.
Garnett was asked after the game if being on the floor with the new guys might help put the emotional aspect of losing Kendrick Perkins behind the team.
"The emotional part is what it is, you have to separate the two," said Garnett. "My whole thing in this is to embrace change and that's what I'm trying to do."
Garnett added that the emotional aspect hasn't subsided.
Kendrick Perkins will miss two-three weeks with a sprained left knee, Scott Brooks confirmed on Saturday.
Perkins was acquired in a deadline trade on Thursday for Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic.
Before the trade, Boston announced Perkins was going to miss at least one week.
“I believe in our medical team,” Brooks said. “If they feel it’s two to three weeks then I’m comfortable with that. I just want to know when he comes back he’s ready to play at the level that he’s able to play at.”
Perkins could make his debut for Oklahoma City on March 18th when they begin a six-game home stand.
“I’m just going to listen to whatever the doctors tell me,” Perkins said. “I’ll just keep working, trying to get back as soon as possible. I’m just here for the long haul. As long as I can get me some good games in in the regular season, get a good push going into the playoffs, I think I’m going to be all right.”
A report from Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald suggested Danny Ainge consulted with the Celtics' stars before trading Kendrick Perkins for a package that included Jeff Green.
"I don't buy that," said Marc J. Spears of Yahoo!.
Spears formerly covered the Celtics before becoming a national writer for Yahoo! and is considered one of the most plugged in reporters in the NBA.
Spears rhetorically asked why Kevin Garnett was crying following the trade if he was previously consulted about a potential Perkins' trade.
Jeff Green talked to the media about joining the Celtics during his first shootaround with the team.
"It’s an honor," said Green. "There's a lot of history behind the name that’s on this jersey. I'm proud to be a Celtic."
Boston will play the Clippers on Saturday night in their first game with Green and Nenad Krstic.
"I'm happy to be in the situation I am now," said Green.
Green believes the Celtics have the "same goal to win a championship" as the Thunder have.
Green feels comfortable playing both the small forward and power forward positions for the Celtics.
Several Celtics were very upset to lose Kendrick Perkins, but they have embraced Green in his arrival.
"They've welcomed me with open arms and I'm glad to be here," said Green.
Danny Ainge's trade of Kendrick Perkins for Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic took a lot of people by surprise, but he though the Celtics were in need of something dramatic.
"Yeah, I think it’s bold, and it would be a lot easier not to do anything," Ainge said. "I acknowledge that. But I really believe this is better for our team now and in the future.
"I know what our record is, but I just think we needed to get better."
The Celtics are a half game ahead of the Heat for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
"If it is, and I don’t really know what that means, I would take it as a compliment," Ainge said when faced with the word 'Belichickian.' “You have to do what you think is right. You listen to your staff. We collectively and unanimously make decisions like this. Things are discussed, researched and looked over and weighed against other alternatives. These aren’t just freewheeling, seat-of-the-pants chances we’re taking.
“I certainly respect what Bill Belichick has done with his team, knowing that some of the things weren’t popular at first. But he’s been proven out.
“I think it’s great for people to question moves and fall in love with local players and be mad and passionate. And I love that about Boston.”
The Celtics are closely monitoring the waiver wire, as Danny Ainge has several additional moves he would like to make before he considers his team's restructure complete.
Boston is interested in Troy Murphy, Dan Gadzuric and Jason Kapono should they be waived, according to sources.
"Our team is still not whole,” said Ainge. "We started out great. We played great basketball with Shaq (O’Neal) in the middle. I think it’ll be easier for Shaq to return in a starting position, which I think he has earned with his play this year."
