The Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers declined to comment when asked by ESPN whether their teams are fully vaccinated, which could mean some of their players would be ineligible to play in road games in a potential playoff series against the Toronto Raptors.

The Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks each confirmed that their teams are fully vaccinated and won't have any issues.

The Celtics, 76ers, Heat and Bucks are likely to finish in the top-4 in the Eastern Conference and match up with the Raptors. 

The Celtics ruled out four players for Monday's game in Robert Williams, Al Horford, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Sources told ESPN that Williams is vaccinated, while Tatum said on media day that he was vaccinated.

Brown said on media day that the vaccine was a personal choice. 

"I have my own thoughts about it but I respect my teammates' decisions and things like that," Brown said. "I know everybody has their own opinion about it but I think it's a personal choice."

Brown and Horford both entered the NBA's health and safety protocols back in October, and Horford did so again in December.

Boston Celtics center Robert Williams underwent surgery for a torn meniscus on Wednesday morning. Following surgery, the expectation is that Williams will return to the lineup in 4-6 weeks.

Williams was injured at some point in the Celtics victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. Imaging showed the fourth-year center tore his meniscus in his left knee.

There is optimism Williams could return on the shorter end of his timeline. Four weeks would have Williams back towards the end of the first round or beginning of the second round of the playoffs.

Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum have been named the NBA's Players of the Week for Week 23 (March 21-27).

Booker averaged 37.3 points and 6.3 assists as the Phoenix Suns went 3-0.

Tatum averaged 32.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists as the Boston Celtics went 3-0.

The Boston Celtics have agreed to sign Juwan Morgan to a 10-day contract.

Morgan is averaging 12.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 25.9 minutes over 20 G League games with the Maine Celtics this season.

Morgan appeared in one game earlier this season while on a 10-day contract with the Toronto Raptors. 

Robert Williams suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee and will miss at least several weeks.

An MRI on Monday revealed the tear, and further evaluation Monday will help provide a timetable on a possible return.

Williams has been a key part of the Boston Celtics' surge in 2022.

Williams signed a new four-year, $54 million extension with the Celtics in the offseason.

Robert Williams left Sunday's game late in the third quarter due to a sprained left knee. Williams was ruled out for the rest of the game shortly thereafter.

Postgame, Ime Udoka said the Boston Celtics didn't know the extent of Williams' injury, but that the young big man was in "quite a bit of pain". Williams was ruled out of the Celtics back-to-back in Toronto on Monday and will have testing done on the injury.

In his first season as Boston's starting center, Williams has had a breakout year. He's averaged 10 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. Williams' 73.6% shooting would lead the NBA if he qualified.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Jayson Tatum have been named the NBA's Players of the Week for Week 22.

Towns averaged 38.3 points and 12.0 rebounds per game as the Minnesota Timberwolves went 3-0.

Tatum averaged 29.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists as the Boston Celtics went 3-0.

The Boston Celtics are signing Malik Fitts to a two-year contract. The second season will reportedly include a partial guarantee.

Fitts recently completed two 10-day deals with the Celtics. If he was to remain in Boston, he had to be signed for the remainder of this season.

Fitts has also played for the LA Clippers and Utah Jazz in his two-year NBA career. He's quickly become well-liked in the Boston locker room for his energy, work ethic and lively bench celebrations.

Isaiah Thomas recently opened up about his NBA journey since being traded from the Boston Celtics to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017. Thomas talked about his recovery from hip surgery and how that led to him bouncing around from team to team. Thomas said that he hoped that would always lead to a return to Boston.

Thomas said at various points he reached out to both Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens about returning to the Celtics. Thomas said he believes Boston has gone in different directions, because there would be an expectation for him to play.

“I know how to control the outside thinking I’m gonna go and pick up where I left off now, because if I came to that team, it’s not my team anymore. That’s (Jayson) Tatum’s team. That’s Jaylen Brown’s team. That’s Marcus Smart’s team. I would just help in any way I possibly can to get those guys over the hump, " Thomas said. "It hasn’t happened; it probably won’t happen, I’m focused on where I’m at now, and I’m happy where I’m at, and hopefully, I can be here at least the rest of the season.”

Still, Thomas appreciates the love he gets from Celtics fans.

“(The fan support) means a lot. Like, I’ve never seen it, either,” Thomas said. “Me and my wife always talk about it; you would think I was doing stuff like Larry Bird was doing with how much love I’m getting. You would think I was doing it for 10 years and winning championships with the love I get from the city. I’m thankful, I’m appreciative, but that’s probably a reason why I’m not there, because of all that love."
