Trajan Langdon Named G League Executive Of The Year

Mar 29, 2019 1:15 PM

Trajan Langdon has been named the 2018-19 NBA G League Basketball Executive of the Year.

In his third season as general manager of the Brooklyn Nets’ NBA G League affiliate, Langdon oversaw a team that tied for the NBA G League’s best record (34-16), secured the No. 1 playoff seed in the Eastern Conference and earned the franchise’s first postseason berth.

Before the season, Langdon hired former Brooklyn Nets assistant coach Will Weaver as Long Island’s head coach. Under Weaver, the Nets went 13-1 in their final 14 games, including a 10-game winning streak that was the longest in the NBA G League this season and the longest in franchise history.

Nets Do Giveaway For 10,000 Biggie Bobbleheads

Mar 2, 2019 2:11 PM

The Brooklyn Nets did a giveaway for 10,000 Biggie bobbleheads during their Friday night game against the Charlotte Hornets.

"He's a legend from here. Hometown hero. His legacy that he left behind is still here to this day," said D'Angelo Russell.

The Nets also wore a "Brooklyn Camo" colorway for the game, although they are being sued by Coogi over the multicolor pattern.

"Love them. Love the design. Very Brooklyn-esque. I'm not a huge jersey guy in the first place, but those are dope," added Caris LeVert.

Mar 2, 2019 12:14 AM

Coogi filed a lawsuit against the Brooklyn Nets over a Notorious B.I.G-inspired jersey colorway.

The Nets and Nike declined to comment, though NBA spokesman Mike Bass stated that the lawsuit has "no merit".
