Dwight Howard has been fined $35,000 for making an obscene gesture on the playing court. 

The incident occurred with 4:25 remaining in the 2^nd quarter of the Hornets’ 100-99 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, Nov. 24 at Quicken Loans Arena.

Nic Batum aggravated his elbow injury this week but it won't impact him long-term this season.

Batum missed the first six weeks of the season.

"In a pin-down, I got caught (on the arm) again. That hurt a little bit, but it’s not torn again, so I’m pretty pumped," Batum said.

Batum and the Hornets’ medical staff consulted with the Dallas-based specialist who supervised Batum’s non-surgical rehab from the original injury.

"I was kind of scared the last 24 hours. We’d played so well the last two games, and I was finding my way on the court, learning the new guys."
