Briante Weber Agrees To 10-Day Deal With Hornets

Briante Weber has agreed upon a 10-day deal with the Charlotte Hornets.

The Golden State Warriors decided not to re-sign Weber after the expiration of his second 10-day deal in order to sign Jose Calderon.

Weber averaged 1.7 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 6.6 minutes over seven games with the Warriors.

Weber went undrafted in 2015 out of VCU.

Cavs Trade Chris Andersen To Hornets

The Cleveland Cavaliers have traded the contract of Chris Andersen and cash considerations to the Charlotte Hornets for a protected second round pick.

Andersen is out for the year with a torn ACL and will be waived by the Hornets.

Cleveland will save approximately $2.5 million on the luxury tax with the move.

Tobey has yet to appear in a game with the Hornets.

The Hornets signed Tobey from Greensboro of the D-League.

Ramon Sessions has been diagnosed with a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee.

Sessions complained of discomfort in his knee Friday, and sat out practice in preparation for Saturday’s game against the Utah Jazz.

Sessions signed a two-year, $12.5 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets in the offseason.

The Charlotte Hornets plan to sign Ray McCallum to a 10-day contract.

McCallum has averaged 18.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 37.9 minutes per game in 30 appearances this season for the Grand Rapids Drive of the D-League.

McCallum played for the Detroit Pistons during the 2016 preseason and 41 combined games in 15-16 with the San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies.

The Charlotte Hornets plan on signing Mike Tobey to a 10-day contract.

Charlotte is creating an open roster spot with their trade of Roy Hibbert and Spencer Hawes to the Milwaukee Bucks for Miles Plumlee.

Tobey is averaging 11.0 points and 8.9 rebounds in 26.0 minutes per game this season for the Greensboro Swarm of the D-League.

Tobey went undrafted in 2016 out of Virginia.

Bucks Trade Miles Plumlee To Hornets For Roy Hibbert, Spencer Hawes

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to trade Miles Plumlee to the Charlotte Hornets for Roy Hibbert and Spencer Hawes.

Plumlee re-signed with the Bucks in the 2016 offseason on a four-year, $52 million deal. Plumlee is averaging just 9.7 minutes per game this season for Bucks with his PER dropping from 17.4 to 8.0.

Hawes has a player option for the 17-18 season. Hawes signed a four-year $23 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2014.

Hibbert is on a one-year, $5 million deal.

The Bucks will release Steve Novak to clear a roster spot for Hawes and Hibbert, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
