The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to hire Ronald Nored as an assistant coach.

Nored was the head coach last season of the Brooklyn Nets' G League team.

Jay Hernandez has agreed to join the coaching staff of James Borrego with the Charlotte Hornets.

Hernandez spent last season as an assistant coach with the Orlando Magic.

Hernandez originally joined the Magic as assistant coach/player development prior to the 2014-15 campaign, where he was responsible for on-court skill development, as well as game scouts. Hernandez established and collaborated with various departments to implement a return from injury protocol that incorporates analytics with an on-court simulation. He has also been responsible for organizing and running on court pre-draft workouts for the last three seasons.

The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to hire Jay Triano as the top assistant coach on the staff of James Borrego.

Triano finished the 17-18 season as interim head coach for the Phoenix Suns.

The Hornets hired Borrego away from the San Antonio Spurs this offseason.

The Phoenix Suns have won the 2018 NBA Draft Lottery while the Sacramento Kings moved up to No. 2 and the Atlanta Hawks will select at No. 3.

ESPN Films and Netflix are partnering on a 10-hour documentary on Michael Jordan called "The Last Dance" that will be released in 2019.

Jordan has signed off on his participation on the project.

The film will be directed by Jason Hehir who also worked on 'The Fab Five' and 'Andre The Giant'.

The series will feature more than 500 hours of previously unseen footage of the Bulls' last title run in the 97-98 season.

James Borrego has officially been hired by the Charlotte Hornets as head coach.

Borrego most recently was an assistant coach with the Spurs.

Borrego previously was interim head coach of the Magic after the franchise fired Jacque Vaughn. 

Borrego takes over a team that has gone 36-46 each of the past two seasons.

Jay Larranaga has emerged as a strong candidate to be the next Charlotte Hornets head coach.

Mitch Kupchak fired Steve Clifford last month after five seasons as Hornets coach.

Larranaga is the top assistant to Brad Stevens. 

Larranaga had a long playing career in Europe before going into coaching in 2008. He worked in the NBA’s Developmental League, coaching the Erie Bay Hawks, before being hired by the Celtics in 2012.

The Chicago Bulls have granted permission to the Charlotte Hornets to interview Jim Boylen for their head coaching vacancy.

Boylen has head coaching experience in college with Utah.

Boylen served on Rudy Tomjanovich's staff during the 1990s with the Rockets. Mitch Kupchak is known to be close with Tomjanovich.

Boylen also worked with the Gregg Popovich in the past.

Ime Udoka will interview this week for the Orlando Magic head coaching vacancy.

Udoka also interviewed this offseason with the Charlotte Hornets.

Udoka has been an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs since 2012.
