The Cleveland Cavaliers have removed themselves from trade talks with the Utah Jazz  on Donovan Mitchell, sources tell Ian Begley of SNY.tv.

According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Cavaliers declared Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen as untouchable in any trade for Mitchell.

The Jazz and New York Knicks are widely expected to eventually reach agreement on a Mitchell trade, but appear to both be entrenched on their current offers.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have recently touched base with the Utah Jazz about a potential trade for Donovan Mitchell.

The level of interest from the Cavaliers is unknown, but they have young players and picks to put together a package for Mitchell. 

While the New York Knicks have been most strongly linked with Mitchell, the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets have also expressed interest.

The Jazz are seeking multiple first round picks and young players. 

Collin Sexton remains a restricted free agent with a deal not appearing to be imminent either with the Cleveland Cavaliers or a rival team.

The talks between Sexton the Cavaliers are "not contentious."

The Cavaliers have offered a three-year, $40 million deal to Sexton. Sexton has been seeking a deal worth approximately $20 million per season.

Sexton could be forced to play under the $7.2 million qualifying offer if no deal is reached.
