The Brooklyn Nets' general manager search has widened beyond Bryan Colangelo and Danny Ferry.

Denver Nuggets assistant GM Arturas Karnisovas and Houston Rockets executive VP of basketball operations Gersson Rosas are also candidates.

The Nets would like to have a general manager i place before the Feb. 18th trade deadline.

Karnisovas and Rosas fit the Nets' desire to have a more global scouting focus, something ownership believes was lacking under the previous regime. 

Brooklyn fired Billy King as general manager this month.

The Denver Nuggets have signed Sean Kilpatrick to a second 10-day contract.

Kilpatrick, 6-4, 210, initially signed with the Nuggets on January 12 and has averaged 2.3 ppg in four games with Denver.

He appeared in 22 games (21 starts) for the Delaware 87ers of the NBA D-League this season, averaging 27.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.14 steals in 38.5 minutes per game. He was the seventh GATORADE Call-Up of the season.

The Denver Nuggets are attempting to find a workable deal for J.J. Hickson ahead of the trade deadline.

Hickson will be a free agent this offseason.

Hickson's playing time has been reduced since November.

Tim Connelly and the Denver Nuggets have agreed upon a multi-year extension.

Connelly and his staff have earned the confidence of Denver president Josh Kroenke as they work together on reshaping the franchise’s roster.

Connelly’s front-office staff, including assistant general manager Arturas Karnishovas, is returning on new deals as well.

Connelly replaced Masai Ujiri as general manager in 2013. 

The Denver Nuggets will sign Sean Kilpatrick of the D-League's Delaware 87ers to a 10-day contract.

Kilpatrick appeared in four games with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season. Kilpatrick spent the preseason with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Kilpatrick has averaged 27.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 38.5 minutes per game with a PER of 19.9 over 22 games in the D-League this season.

The Denver Nuggets have waived Kostas Papanikolaou for the second time in three months.

The Nuggets released Papanikolaou to avoid guaranteeing the balance of his contract for the season. 

Papanikolaou was acquired by Denver as part of the trade that sent Ty Lawson to Houston and was waived for the first time Sept. 25. The Nuggets re-signed him Nov. 5.

Kenneth Faried says he's "doing much better" after being taken off the court on a stretcher with a neck injury following a loss to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.

Faried posted on Instagram on Sunday he's "a little sore, but I'm the Manimal — I'm not going to (let) this keep me down & out long!"

Faried's CT scan was normal and he started on Sunday..

Faried took an elbow to the back of the neck while fighting for a rebound late in overtime. He rubbed his neck before lying down at the end of Denver's bench.

Faried was removed the court on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital.
