The Denver Nuggets have picked up their $30 million option on the contract of Paul Millsap.

The Nuggets can use their $9.2 million midlevel exception while also staying under the luxury tax.

Millsap signed a three-year, $90 million deal with the Nuggets in 2017.

The Denver Nuggets still haven't made a decision on their $30 million team option on Paul Millsap. The Nuggets could conceivably sign Millsap to a longer term deal at a lower annual average.

"I think they feel in Denver, Tim Connelly, Arturas Karnisovas, they can manage that $30 million on their cap," said Adrian Wojnarowski. "It's not going to break them. If they can't come up with a deal long-term, a two or three-year deal at a lower number, they bring him back this year.

"As excited as they are about Michael Porter, they know that he's not coming in essentially as a rooke and win in the postseason.

"Millsap, listen, he's a player with a lot of value."

Bol Bol was the final green room player selected in the 2019 NBA Draft, going 44th overall to the Denver Nuggets.

Bol entered his freshman season as a probable lottery pick, but his stock fell following his broken foot.

"Tim Connelly told me that they had him top-10 on their board," said Jonathan Givony on The Lowe Post podcast. 

"They had him top-10 on their board yesterday?" asked Zach Lowe.

"Yes. A couple of teams told me they had him top-20 so it's not like he was universally red flagged and people just took him off and said 'do not draft.' Honestly, I don't know what happened."

Bol Bol was a green room invite, but he fell all the way to No. 44 in which he was selected by the Denver Nuggets.

Bol entered his freshman season as a probable lottery pick, but he suffered a broken foot after nine games at Oregon.

The Nuggets acquired the pick from the Miami Heat.

The Denver Nuggets explored the possibility of an Anthony Davis trade before the New Orleans Pelicans traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Nuggets would have been more aggressive in pursuing a trade for Davis if they believed he would strongly consider re-signing with the franchise in free agency in 2020. The Nuggets, however, were confident that wasn't the case.

The Pelicans insisted any deal for Davis include Jamal Murray, but that was a non-starter for the Nuggets.

The Lakers were willing to give up more for Davis than the Nuggets.
