Jamal Murray Out For 'Foreseeable Future' With Ankle Injury

Jan 17, 2020 2:35 AM

Jamal Murray will be out for the "foreseeable future" after suffering an ankle injury against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.

X-rays on Murray's ankle returned negative.

Mike Malone didn't know when Murray would return.

"He'll be out for the foreseeable future, obviously ... Just trying to allow them more rehab time, try to get them back as quickly as possible. So right now, no real update, other than we don't expect him back for a little bit," said Malone.

X-Rays Return Negative On Jamal Murray's Ankle

Jan 16, 2020 2:47 AM

Jamal Murray suffered an ankle injury during the Denver Nuggets' 100-86 win over the Charlotte Hornets.

X-rays on Murray's left ankle returned negative, though Mike Malone was unsure of whether Murray would be out long-term.

"I have no idea how long he's going to be out. Obviously, he's had an issue with ankle injuries. He rolled it and those are scary, because those kind of injuries can be -- aside from being painful -- you don't want to have Jamal Murray miss an extended period of time. So hopefully it's not as bad as it looks and we can get him back (quickly)," said Malone after the game.
