Nikola Jokic matched a career-high 47 points in the Denver Nuggets' 128-117 win over the Utah Jazz.

The win also snapped the Jazz's 11-game win streak.

"I'm going to score when we need it. It's just a game. The main thing is just win the game. I'm going to score however much I need just to win the game," said Jokic after the game. 

The Nuggets shot 88.2% from the three-point line in the first half, the highest 3-point field goal in a half over the past 20 seasons.

Will Barton said he tried to convince Jokic to hit the 50-point mark.

"You know him; he don't care about that kind of stuff. He's just playing basketball, being aggressive, being who he is. We definitely wanted the big fella to get 5-0 tonight."

Jamal Murray has been fined $25,000 for striking Dallas Mavericks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. in the groin area.

The incident, for which Murray received a Flagrant Foul 2 and was ejected, occurred with 4:51 remaining in the third quarter of the Nuggets’ 117-113 victory over the Mavericks on Jan. 25 at American Airlines Center.

Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic have been named the NBA's Players of the Week for Week 5 (Jan. 18-Jan. 24).

Embiid averaged 37.7 points and 11.7 rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers went 3-0.

Jokic averaged 29.0 points, 14.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists as the Denver Nuggets went 3-0.

Michael Porter Jr. is questionable to return on Friday after clearing the league's health and safety protocols.

Porter has not played since December 29th.

Porter is currently averaging 19.5 points and 6.8 rebounds on the season. 

Greg Whittington underwent a successful knee arthroscopy this morning performed by Dr. Jason Dragoo.

Whittington will be reevaluated in four to six weeks.

Whittington is on a Two-Way contract with the Denver Nuggets. Whittington has yet to appears in a game this season.

The Denver Nuggets hope Michael Porter Jr. can return on Friday.

Porter will miss his 10th straight game on Tuesday due to COVID-19 protocols.

"Of course we miss Michael," Michael Malone said. "He's a big part of what we're trying to do here. When we do get him back, he will be a welcome sight.''

Michael Malone has acknowledged Michael Porter Jr. has been away from the team because he tested positive for COVID-19.

"Well it would be nice if we were fully healthy," Malone said. "We were without two starters tonight -- no Gary Harris, no Michael Porter. I don't think we have been whole the whole year. JaMychal Green was out early, Michael Porter has been out with COVID, and Gary was not here due to personal reasons. I think that's one thing that will help us."

Porter last played on Dec. 29 at Sacramento. Porter went into a seven-day quarantine due to contract tracing and was then ruled out on Jan. 7 due to health and safety protocols. 

Michael Porter Jr. is facing a minimum additional quarantine of 10 days due to health and safety protocols.

Porter finished a seven-day quarantine this week due to contact tracing protocols.

Porter could be out for as much as 14 more days. 

In four games this season, Porter is averaging 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 29.2 minutes per game.

Michael Porter Jr. will miss multiple games due to the NBA's COVID-19 protocols.

Porter's contact tracing began on Thursday.
