The Atlanta Hawks are among several teams expressing interest in trading for Clint Capela, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Hawks have been active on the trade market seeking a center. The Hawks have also explored trades for Andre Drummond, Dewayne Dedmon and Steven Adams.

The Houston Rockets previously shopped Capela during the 2019 offseason.

The fallout of Daryl Morey's Tweet showing support for protesters in Hong Kong in October is believed to have cost the NBA anywhere between $150 million and $200 million, according to estimates from league sources.

China pulled several sponsorships and television coverage due to Morey's support for Hong Kong.

The NBA is projecting a drop in the 20-21 salary cap, in part due to the loss revenue from China.

James Harden will miss the Houston Rockets' Sunday game against the Denver Nuggets with a bruised thigh.

Harden is also doubtful for Monday night against the Jazz. Russell Westbrook is ruled out for the Jazz game.

Harden scored 12 points on 3-of-13 shooting against the Timberwolves on Friday. 

The Houston Rockets have been in win-now mode for the past several seasons as they try to maximize the title window with James Harden.

Sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic that the Rockets are continuing to make future draft picks available in trade talks.

The Rockets have prioritized a wing player on the trade market.

For now, the Rockets will leave a roster spot open.

Mike D'Antoni said that the Houston Rockets need to hold themselves accountable and keep fighting following their 112-107 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

It was their fourth straight loss, and fifth loss in six games. 

"Right now, we're in a period where if something is going to go bad, it goes bad. When it rains, it pours, and it's pouring. ... You can choose to look at yourself and do better. I'll do the same, and if everybody does the same, we're fine. But if we don't do that and we start listening and start questioning this and that, then we have problems," said D'Antoni following the loss.

The Rockets were outscored 41-20 in the fourth quarter.

James Harden added that the team needed to put together a complete game. 

"You're playing well, playing well and then just stop doing the things that get us the lead. Sooner or later, we're going to put a four-quarter game together and build off that. We're more than capable. We show really good signs. We just have some lapses."

Russell Westbrook said that the Houston Rockets had to stick together following their 124-115 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. It was their third straight loss, and fourth loss out of their last five games.

"We've got to stay positive, man. Like I said the other day, in adversity, whatcha gonna do? Gotta look at yourself, stay locked in. It's a part of the season, man. It happens, but now, as a unit, as a team, we've got to stick together," said Westbrook after the game.

The Rockets are currently in sixth place in the Western Conference standings.

James Harden added that the team are built to fight through adverse parts of the season.

"It happens to I think every team throughout the course of the year, but tough times don't last long, especially for people and teams that are built for it. We've just got to continue to fight through it, continue to get better, keep grinding through moments like these," said Harden.

The trade market for Robert Covington has intensified over recent days, according to rival teams that spoke with The Athletic. 

The Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers have expressed interest in Covington.

Minnesota is expected to hold firm on a high asking price for Covington. Covington has $25 million remaining on his current contract over the next two seasons and has a great relationship with Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Houston Rockets will waive Gary Clark. 

Clark would have counted at $1.4 million if he remained on the Rockets' roster beyond Tuesday. 

The Rockets have avoided the luxury tax since Tilman Fertitta purchased the franchise in 2017.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden have been named the NBA's Players of the Month for December.

Antetokounmpo averaged 29.3 points, 12.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game as the Milwaukee Bucks went 13-2.

Harden averaged 37.3 points, 6.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game as the Houston Rockets went 10-5.
