The NBA announced that the Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings will play in two preseason games in Mumbai in 2019, marking the first games the NBA has played in India and the first games staged in the country by a North American sports league.

The NBA India Games 2019 will take place Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5 at the NSCI Dome.

The announcement was made by NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum and NBA India Managing Director Yannick Colaco in Mumbai.

Thaddeus Young and James Harden have been named the NBA's Players of the Week.

Young averaged 18.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game as the Pacers went 4-0.

Harden averaged 37.0 points, 8.3 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game as the Rockets went 3-0.

The Indiana Pacers have hired Kelly Krauskopf as assistant general manager.

Krauskopf will work with the Pacers' basketball operations staff, including president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard, general manager Chad Buchanan and assistant GM Peter Dinwiddie.

Krauskopf is the first female assistant general manager in NBA history.

Krauskopf had been president and general manager of the WNBA's Indiana Fever for 17 years.

A growing number of women have landed front-office roles in the NBA, including Becky Bonner (Orlando), Amanda Green (Oklahoma City), Teresa Resch (Toronto), Michelle Leftwich (Atlanta), Ariana Andonian (Houston) and Natalie Jay (Brooklyn).

The Indiana Pacers are believed to have interest in trading one of their two veteran point guards.

Darren Collison and Cory Joseph roughly split minutes at point guard.

But the Pacers are high on rookie Aaron Holiday, who they would like to create more minutes for.
