The Indiana Pacers had "qualms" about signing Paul George to a supermax contract extension in 2017 had he made an All-NBA team to become eligible for one.

George didn't qualify and the Pacers traded him to the Oklahoma City Thunder when he requested a trade.

George re-signed with the Thunder in 2018.

Jahlil Okafor worked out for four teams last Wednesday in Las Vegas. Okafor remains a free agent but is hopeful of signing with a team before training camp.

Okafor has spent the last few months working out in Miami with trainers David Alexander and Idan Ravin, fueling speculation that he could land with the Heat, especially if Miami finds a trading partner for Hassan Whiteside.

Okafor has received interest from the Indiana Pacers and Chicago Bulls, but neither team were at the workout. 

Okafor will not return to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Indiana Pacers have signed Alize Johnson to a contract that is fully guaranteed for 18-19.

The Pacers selected Johnson with the 50th overall pick in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Johnson averaged 15.0 points and 11.6 rebounds per game last season as a senior at Missouri State. He appeared in five games for the Pacers in the 2018 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, averaging 12.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game.

Guard Elijah Stewart, who went undrafted out of USC, will sign an Exhibit 10 contract with the Pacers.

Stewart will join Indiana's training camp roster.

Kyle O'Quinn has agreed upon a one-year, $4.5 million contract.

The third part of Paul George decision documentary has been released following his agreement to re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a four-year, $137 million contract.

George agreed to join with the Thunder at the start of free agency and didn't take a meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"It's been very stressful," said George. "It has not been an easy decision. I 100 percent appreciate Laker Nation for wanting me to come back home, for wanting to play in front of them.

"I wanted to come here a year ago prior to going to OKC. Unfortunately, I wasn't traded to the Lakers. The Lakers didn't grab me. I was traded to Oklahoma. And that has been a beautiful thing for me."

George explained his experience with the Thunder.

"(The Thunder) just being hands on, being open, being honest. Keeping that relationship authentic. I thought everything has just been real. The relationship with Sam (Presti). Connecting with Russ (Westbrook). I feel a family and brotherhood in that organization.

Tyreke Evans has agreed upon a one-year, $12 million deal with the Indiana Pacers.

Evans spent last season with the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies kept Evans at the trade deadline.

Lance Stephenson has agreed to join the Los Angeles Lakers on a one-year, $4.5 million deal.

Stepenson and LeBron James have battled in many playoff series over the years.

Glenn Robinson III has agreed upon a two-year deal with the Detroit Pistons worth $8.3 million.

The Pistons will have a team option on the second season of Robinson's deal.

Robinson signed a three-year deal with the Indiana Pacers in 2015.
