The New York Knicks are in talks to hire Pat Sullivan as an assistant coach.
Sullivan has coached with the Clippers over the past two seasons.
Sullivan is a native of New Jersey and worked with Scott Perry with the Pistons.
The Los Angeles Clippers are open to packaging their No. 12 and No. 13 picks to move up in the draft.
Michael Porter Jr. could be a possible target for the Clippers, according to a front office executive.
Steve Ballmer attended the media session as last week's combine and even paused his own interview with listen behind a media scrum around Porter.
Ballmer saw Porter play in high school.
“About my only real contribution [to the draft] is to say, ‘Hey, I saw some high school kid in Seattle and he looked really good.’ And it turns out it’s probably a kid who will be the no. 1 or no. 2 pick,” Ballmer said on The Bill Simmons Podcast in March 2017. “[Porter] plays in the same league as my son, so I have watched him play a few times. … And they say, ‘Thank you very much for your scouting. Go back to that mathy stuff.’”
The Dallas Mavericks are expected to pursue DeAndre Jordan, DeMarcus Cousins and Julius Randle in free agency.
Jordan and Randle are natives of Texas.
Jordan agreed to sign with the Mavericks in 2015 before ultimately changing his mind to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Cousins was widely expected to re-sign with the New Orleans Pelicans until he ruptured his Achilles and the team continued to play well without him. The Mavericks have an extensive history of working with Cousins' agent Jarinn Akana.

Mike Woodson will not return to the Los Angeles Clippers next season.
The departure of Woodson will create an opening for a top-level, defensive-minded assistant coach.
Woodson joined the Clippers in 2014 after he was relieved of his duties as head coach of the New York Knicks.
Jerry West played a big role in the rise of the Warriors, but left the franchise in June of 2017 after they were unable to renew his contract.
West felt his influence within the Warriors was fading.
“Leaving the Warriors was probably the most difficult thing for me in my whole life," said West. "I didn’t want to leave. You get to the point where maybe you don’t feel as valued, but it’s just something that happened. I hold no malice toward anyone over there.
“It did not end the way I wanted it to, that’s for sure. But this is a perfect role for me. People ask me my opinion, and I’m going to give it to them.”
West quickly joined the Los Angeles Clippers in a similar role.
The Los Angeles Clippers made the difficult but likely prudent decision to trade Blake Griffin just a few months into his new five-year, $171 million contract.
“Don’t be afraid to make that tough decision if you need to,” Steve Ballmer recalled West telling him.
“No one wants to do that, particularly with someone like Blake Griffin,” West says now. “It was very difficult for everyone, especially Steve, because he really liked Blake personally. But this franchise was really stuck. There was nowhere for it to go. You have to figure out how far away you really are and how we can get there.”
Doc Rivers and Steve Ballmer are believed to have already reached agreement on a contract extension to remain head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Rivers lost personnel authority last offseason as the Clippers hired Jerry West, promoted Lawrence Frank while also adding Mike Winger and Trent Redden.
Rivers and Ballmer declined comment on the contract status.
In an interview this week, Rivers said, "I love where the organization is at right now.''
Wesley Johnson will exercise his $6.1 million player option with the Los Angeles Clippers for the 18-19 season.
Johnson signed a three-year, $18 million deal with the Clippers in 2016.
