Kawhi Leonard will not take any formal free agency meetings on Sunday.

Leonard's process is expected to develop over the next few days. Leonard is already in Los Angeles and won't rush his decision-making.

Leonard has been most closely linked with the Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.

Magic Johnson, however, did speak with Leonard and Dennis Robertson.

Steve Serby of the New York Post secured an interview with Rich Kleiman, agent for Kevin Durant, on the eve of free agency.

Kleiman was asked what Durant's mindset is like right now following his Achilles injury and approaching free agency.

"He’s got a great perspective on life, and he’s got a great understanding of what each challenge is and how to get through it, and he’s as focused as he’s ever been," said Kleiman.

Kleiman was asked if Durant will know what he will decide on June 30th when he wakes up.

"While I’m doing this interview, Kevin is completely undecided in figuring out what he wants to do."

The Los Angeles Clippers are exploring the possibility of signing both Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler.

Leonard reportedly wanted to be joined by another elite free agent if he leaves the Toronto Raptors for the Clippers.

Jerry West is known to be an admirer of Butler.

The Clippers' interest in Butler had previously waned based on previous reports over the past few months.

Leonard and Kevin Durant have also been in touch about the possibility of teaming up with either the New York Knicks or Clippers.

Leonard also has interest in joining LeBron James and Anthony Davis with the Lakers.

Stephen Curry will attend Bob Myers' meeting in New York with Kevin Durant, according to sources that spoke with Marcus Thompson of The Athletic.

The Golden State Warriors are attempting to convince Durant to re-sign with the franchise three years after he joined them from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Klay Thompson will soon undergo surgery on his torn ACL and won't visit Durant. 

Draymond Green has already visited Durant in New York this offseason.

When Durant decided to join the Warriors in 2016, he wanted to be sure Curry wanted him on the team.

While the Warriors have largely remained Curry's team in the hearts of fans, Durant has ironically never been more popular than he is now. The Warriors' offense had also shifted more towards Durant in 18-19.

Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard have spoken with other another about the possibility of becoming teammates.

The Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks are the two clear possibilities for Durant and Leonard to team up.

Durant and Leonard are planning to talk with each of those teams once free agency opens on Sunday.

"It speaks to how wild this free agency period is going to be," said Adrian Wojnarowski. "There are so many big market teams with max salary spots. There are so many big stars available. It creates opportunities for stars to talk about how they might fit together."

Kevin Durant plans on engaging four teams in discussions when free agency begins on Sunday: the Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors.

Durant had been widely expected to sign with the Knicks, but his thinking following his Achilles injury has become closely guarded.

Durant could have some face-to-face meetings as well as communication by other means with him and Rich Kleiman.

Durant could wait until well into next week before reaching a decision.

Durant and Kleiman have been in New York and plan on communicating with teams from there.

Kawhi Leonard requested the presence of only Magic Johnson and Jeanie Buss attend his meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers.

NBA rules forbid Johnson from being part of official team meetings with prospective free agents.

Johnson was not asked by the Lakers or Buss to participate in free agency pitches.

"A friend of mine called and says Kawhi wants to meet with you," Johnson told ESPN on Friday. "I said no problem. I'm available if that's what this man wants."

The Los Angeles Lakers have appeared to gain ground in their pursuit of Kawhi Leonard now that they can realistically sign him to a max or near-max contract in free agency.

"As of last night, into the wee hours of this morning, into this morning, I got word the Los Angeles Lakers are to be taken seriously," said Stephen A. Smith. "They will be a team that’s strongly considered for Kawhi Leonard to arrive to.

"Kawhi Leonard was coached by Steve Fisher. Steve Fisher’s got a connection to Rob Pelinka. Rob Pelinka has been working that angle.

"LeBron and Kawhi have a very good relationship. They’ve been texting throughout the year. Obviously, Kawhi has worked out from time to time with Kobe. He grew up a Laker fan."

Smith also suggested that Leonard has a relationship with Magic Johnson.

"This notion that the Lakers should be summarily dismissed is wrong. Kawhi Leonard is strongly considering the Los Angeles Lakers. Plus, New Balance would prefer that he be in L.A. rather than Toronto.”

The Los Angeles Lakers are back in contention to be considered by Klay Thompson now that they created $32 million in cap space.

Thompson will listen to both the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers if the Warriors don't offer a full, five-year, $190 million max contract at the start of free agency.

Thompson has been widely expected to re-sign with the Warriors this offseason.

Kawhi Leonard will meet with the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers on June 30th when free agency begins.

Leonard will meet with both teams in Los Angeles.

Leonard will meet with a handful of other teams, including the Toronto Raptors, before making his decision. The New York Knicks are working on securing a meeting with Leonard as well.
