The Los Angeles Clippers plan to sign DeMarcus Cousins to a 10-day contract. Cousins will give the Clippers additional depth at center behind Ivica Zubac and Serge Ibaka.

Cousins will have to clear the NBA's health and safety protocols before signing the deal.

The Houston Rockets waived Cousins in late February.

LaMarcus Aldridge is expected to meet with the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets, sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

Aldridge and the Spurs agreed to a buyout on Thursday. 

Andre Drummond will meet with the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, and Charlotte Hornets, sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

Drummond and the Cavs are expected to agree to a buyout after the team was unable to find a trade partner at the deadline. 

The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to acquire Rajon Rondo from the Atlanta Hawks for Lou Williams, two second round picks and cash. 

The Clippers had interest in signing Rondo last offseason. Rondo is signed next season for $7.5 million.

Williams previously played for the Hawks and grew up in the Atlanta area. Williams is on an expiring contract.

The Los Angeles Clippers have had trade talks with the Atlanta Hawks on Rajon Rondo, according to Brian Windhorst on ESPN.

The Clippers had interest in signing Rondo in free agency.

The Clippers are in need of a more traditional point guard.

Kawhi Leonard has purchased his third home in Southern California, spending $17.1 million for a mansion in Pacific Palisades.

The 11,815-square-foot home on Paseo Miramar has seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. The home was originally listed in February 2019 for $25 million.

Leonard also owns a home in the San Diego suburb of Rancho Santa Fe as well as a $6.7 condo at the Ritz Carlson Reisdences at L.A. Live.

Leonard will be a free agent this offseason following his second season with the Los Angeles Clippers. 

The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to trade Mfiondu Kabengele, a future second round pick and cash to the Sacramento Kings for a protected future second round pick.

The Clippers create $2.6 million in space under the hard cap and a roster spot with the move.

The Kings used a trade exception that would have expired.

Kabengele was a first round pick in 2019 out of Florida State and the Clippers already turned down their third-year option on him.

Elgin Baylor has passed away the age of 86 of natural causes.

Baylor played 14 seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers and was a 10-time First Team All-NBA selection. Baylor was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1977.

Baylor later had a lengthy tenure running the Los Angeles Clippers.

“Elgin was THE superstar of his era - his many accolades speak to that,” said Jeanie Buss. “He was one of the few Lakers players whose career spanned from Minneapolis to Los Angeles. But more importantly he was a man of great integrity, even serving his country as a U.S. Army reservist, often playing for the Lakers only during his weekend pass. He is one of the all-time Lakers greats with his No. 22 jersey retired in the rafters and his statue standing guard in front of Staples Center. He will always be part of the Lakers legacy. On behalf of the entire Lakers family, I’d like to send my thoughts, prayers and condolences to Elaine and the Baylor family.”

The Los Angeles Clippers are exploring a trade for Lonzo Ball, sources tell Marc Stein of the New York Times.

The Clippers have been searching for a playmaker for several months, but have a limited number of means to trade for one. Zach Lowe of ESPN adds the Clippers will be active over the next week and will attempt to bundle second rounders from the Detroit Pistons and they could also use Patrick Patterson's $3.1 million deal.

Ball will be a restricted free agent this offseason.

The Los Angeles Clippers are in clear need of a point guard and that need has been telegraphed on the trade market.

The Clippers continue to have strong internal interest in Terry Rozier, while Ricky Rubio and George Hill are other options.

The Clippers have limited draft capital to attach to matching salaries in any scenario.
