Chris Bosh Defeated By Raptors For First Time After 12 Tries

Dec 19, 2015 4:30 PM

The Toronto Raptors finally defeated Chris Bosh on Friday, beating the Miami Heat 108-94.

The Heat had been 12-0 when facing Toronto with Bosh in the lineup against his former team.

"I'll let him know," DeMar DeRozan said. "It's just crazy how long it's been. All of the years playing with him and all the times playing against him ... just finally beating him."

Bosh left the Raptors to sign with the Heat in 2010.

Heat Deny Reports Of Making Hassan Whiteside Available In Trades

Dec 17, 2015 1:29 PM

The Miami Heat have denied reports of shopping Hassan Whiteside to acquire DeMarcus Cousins or Dwight Howard.

Whiteside's contract is problematic for both the Heat and any team trading for him because they don't have his Bird Rights.

Whiteside is making just $981.348 this season.

Hassan Whiteside Won't Be Impacted By Trade Rumors

Dec 16, 2015 4:01 PM

Hassan Whiteside was asked for his reaction to trade rumors centered around him leaving the Miami Heat.

Whiteside said he has greater concerns at the moment than his name appearing in rumors.

"I just saw it. It's just rumors," he said. "I mean, it's just rumors, I guess. I don't really know how factual it is. But I'm just going to keep playing basketball."

Whiteside was linked to possible trades to the Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets.

"A lot of people are speculating," Whiteside said. "I just keep playing basketball every day. I'm just going to keep coming in and doing the same thing I've been doing."

The Heat are in a unique situation with Whiteside in that they lack his Bird Rights, and therefore would have to utilize salary-cap space to re-sign him.

"I'm not really listening to all that other stuff," Whiteside said. "I'm just going to keep coming out and just playing basketball and keep trying to win games."

Dwight Howard Reportedly Unhappy With Rockets' Situation

Dec 15, 2015 3:30 PM

Dwight Howard is unhappy with his situation with the Houston Rockets, according to a report from Chris Sheridan.

Howard could become a free agent this offseason.

Sheridan predicts Howard will be traded to the Miami Heat by this year's deadline.

The Heat could use Hassan Whiteside as part of a trade package for Howard. The Heat will struggle to re-sign Whiteside due to cap limitations.

Goran Dragic Finally Feeling Chemistry With Wade, Bosh

Dec 6, 2015 5:56 PM

Goran Dragic is making progress with his chemistry playing with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.

"With C.B., we played well together, especially that low pocket pass was always available," Dragic said. "It's getting there.

"Even with D-Wade, we were talking a little bit, when he's going to handle the ball, if I'm in front, he's going to pass it to me, so I can attack in the open court. It's getting better. Everybody can see it."

Erik Spoelstra said it was clear this moment would arrive.

"It was all about just sticking with it," Spoelstra said. "Like I said before, I love his approach. All this swirling around and he just kept on coming in early, getting with [assistant coach] Chris Quinn and working every single day to try to get better. When you want to have breakthroughs, sometimes they're not on your own time."

It is clear Dragic is feeling more at ease.

"Of course it's more fun," Dragic said. "Even my body language is a little bit different. I'm smiling on the court. I'm enjoying. And that's the most important thing, try to enjoy and at the same time play hard. As long as the team is winning, it's all good."

Chris Bosh On Big 3 Run: We Accomplished Something Generational

Dec 5, 2015 4:18 PM

Chris Bosh sees what the Miami Heat were able to accomplish with when he, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade decided to come together as historical.

"I think what we did was special. We were able to do something generational. And it was awesome. I think as we get further and further removed, I think it will be more special, because we have that 'what if' thing going. Yeah, man. One day. I mean, as long as I can come back one day, and I'm handsome. That's really all that matters. I'm already there. Yeah. But I'll have a nice little salt-and-pepper beard, it will be real nice."

Bosh decided to remain with the Heat even after the departure of James in 2014.
