Wolves Continue To Seek Return For Jimmy Butler Beyond What Teams Offering

Sep 27, 2018 10:26 AM

The Minnesota Timberwolves continue to seek a trade return for Jimmy Butler beyond what any team is willing to offer. The Miami Heat, who have been among the most aggressive teams pursuing a trade for Butler, find the price too high.

The Wolves are seeking a combination of veterans, top prospects, future assets and cap relief.

Sources are skeptical of Tom Thibodeau's desire to make a deal.

Butler requested a trade before the start of training camp.

Dwyane Wade Still Not Prepared To Make Decision On 18-19

Sep 14, 2018 9:29 AM

Dwyane Wade is still not ready to make a decision on his playing future despite training camp beginning in less than two weeks.

"I wish I had an answer for you. I don't have it today," Wade said.

Wade was asked what is factoring into his decision.

"A lot goes into it," said Wade. "We've kind of talked about it over the course of my career. So you guys can play the tape back and hear the same answers over and over again. But a lot goes into it."

The Heat are limited to an offer of either the $2.4 million veteran-minimum salary for 2018-19 or their $5.3 million taxpayer mid-level exception.

"You’ve got to call my agent and ask him," Wade said, when asked if the Heat had extended the maximum possible offer. "I haven't dealt with the money part of it."
