Simmons May Need Surgery

Nov 29, 2006 10:41 AM

Bobby Simmons has not played a single minute this season because of what Bucks officials have said was a ?stress reaction?? in his right heel.

Simmons has also acknowledged he has plantar fascitis in the same foot and his agent, Mark Bartelstein, said Tuesday Simmons has a cyst in the heel as well.

Bartelstein said Simmons would soon seek the opinion of several doctors and then decide whether to have surgery.

?It?s a possibility,?? Bartelstein said of Simmons having surgery. ?We?re trying to decide what the problem is. We want to find out what is causing the pain: the cyst in the heel or the plantar facitis.??

Surgery would likely mean he would be lost for the entire season.

Stotts Set To Shuffle Lineup?

Nov 28, 2006 2:34 AM

Desperately seeking a victory, Milwaukee Bucks coach Terry Stotts is considering a lineup change for the game against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at the Staples Center, the first stop on a four-game western trip.

The position in question is the small-forward spot, where rookie Ersan Ilyasova has started the last four games.

"We might start Charlie (Bell) in place of Ersan or maybe start David (Noel)," Stotts said. "Or, maybe we'll start Ersan. But that's the spot, whether we start Ersan or make a change with that."

If Bell would start, it would be at shooting guard, with Michael Redd moving to small forward in place of Ilyasova. If Noel would start, it would be in place of Ilyasova with Redd remaining at shooting guard.

Iguodala Gets Triple Double, But It's Not Enough

Nov 23, 2006 9:06 AM

Playing without Allen Iverson and Chris Webber, Andre Iguodala and the short-handed 76ers outplayed the Milwaukee Bucks for almost 47 minutes. Veterans Michael Redd and Ruben Patterson stopped that just in time.

Redd scored 11 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter and the Bucks overcame Iguodala's triple-double to beat Philadelphia 98-94 on Wednesday night.

"We were all just tired and fed up from losing close games," Redd said. "We know we still have a monster hole to work out of at 4-8. It's nothing to be happy about, but hopefully this will give us a good vibe."

Iguodala stepped up with 18 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists for his second career triple-double.

"It just don't feel right," Iguodala said. "It's a tough loss."
