Alando Tucker Will Play For Bucks This Summer

May 13, 2010 8:09 AM

Alando Tucker has accepted an invitation to play for the Bucks this summer.

Tucker, a former star at Wisconsin, will be a part of Milwaukee's summer league team in Las Vegas.

He is an unrestricted free agent.

"The Bucks called and we discussed and broke down the situation," said Kevin Bradbury, Tucker's agent. "We had two or three other teams inquiry about Alando, too, but it came down to what he (Tucker) wanted to do.

"He was excited about the possibility of playing before some of the same fans who rooted for him at Wisconsin and the potential to make the roster."

Jennings Can See Himself In Milwaukee Long-Term

May 11, 2010 4:47 PM

Bucks guard Brandon Jennings is happy in Milwaukee and can see himself playing with the Bucks over the long-term.

"I can't complain where I am now, with a great coach," Jennings said on ESPN's "Rome is Burning" Monday. "He's been teaching me a lot this year and he's the reason why I've had a successful season."

Jim Rose then asked Jennings if he could see himself in Milwaukee over the long-term.

"I can," the rookie said. "I like it. It reminds me of Italy.  ... (a) laid back town, small little market and they're real big on sports."

Bogut Won't Play In World Championships

May 10, 2010 7:54 AM

Bucks center Andrew Bogut will not play for his native Australia in the World Championships this summer.

Basketball Australia said Monday that Bogut was forced to withdraw due to injuries.

He suffered a season-ending injury to his right arm against the Suns in early April.

"This has been a tough decision, but given the nature of the injury I sustained a few weeks back I knew at that point that playing at the world championships in 2010 would be doubtful," Bogut said in a statement.

"I am certainly keen to contribute in any way possible to the team's preparations and look forward to working with ... the team as we prepare for 2012 London Olympics."

Stackhouse Undecided On Playing Next Season

May 6, 2010 10:42 AM

Jerry Stackhouse is undecided if he will continue his NBA career for the 2010-11 season.

"Right now, I'm a little exhausted so it's hard to say what's really going on," he said. "But I think once you take some time off, you start to miss it and you're raring to go again. I'm quite sure I'll feel that at some point. But I'm not feeling it right now.

"I think I can definitely do it, but you have to prepare to have one more (season). You just can't come out and say, 'I want to play one more.' You can come back and just be on the team, but to really come back and be a part of what's happening and try to compete, which is what I would like to do, it starts in the summer.

"It doesn't start in October when everyone comes back to training camp. I've got to make up my mind."

Salmons Cites Milwaukee As 'Great Option'

May 3, 2010 4:20 PM

John Salmons had a successful couple of months with the Bucks, but his future with the team is uncertain.

Salmons can opt out of his contract and hit the free agent market, something he'll consider as he surveys his options.

Still, Salmons enjoyed his time in Milwaukee and he'll consider either playing out the final year of his deal or negotiating an extension with the team.

"Milwaukee has been great and the teammates have been great," Salmons said. "In my eight years in the league, this is probably the first team I felt like was 100% a team. I felt like we played as a team.

"Milwaukee definitely is a great option," he added.

The Bucks went 22-8 with Salmons in the lineup as they clinched their first playoff spot since 2006.
