Frank Compares Ellis To Iverson

Dec 31, 2012 11:13 PM

Lawrence Frank believes Monta Ellis is the closest player he has ever seen to Allen Iverson.

"Those two are lethal," Frank said, referring to Ellis and Jennings.

"Ellis is a challenge for everyone. Ellis is a nightmare matchup. To me, Ellis is the closest thing to Iverson. He has speed, quickness; he's a great finisher for his size."

Skiles Likes Mbah a Moute At Power Forward Spot

Dec 29, 2012 10:34 PM

The Milwaukee Bucks have won six of their last nine games with Luc Mbah a Moute starting at the power forward position.

"He's always had his most success playing there," Scott Skiles said of Mbah a Moute at the four. "The way he's playing right now, when we've had him in the game at the three, he's been able to post up other three's. I don't think it really matters anymore, either spot."

Mbah a Moute operates best from the elbows, where he can free himself up for drives to the basket.

"He's driving the ball and drawing contact," Skiles said. "If you are going 1 for 2 (from the line), you are still getting fouled. It allows us to get into the penalty earlier and somebody else gets fouled and can make two free throws. It has kind of a ripple effect."

Udrih Back For First Practice Since Nov. 30 Injury

Dec 24, 2012 10:54 PM

Beno Udrih returned on Monday for the first practice since his sprained right ankle against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Nov. 30.

Udrih has missed the past 12 games but hopes to play on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets.

"I want to be 100%," Udrih said. "Today it felt good. I think in two days it's going to get even better. I'm hoping I can feel really good so I can play on Wednesday. But I don't want to push it. I don't want to make it chronic or whatever."

Udrih is averaging 8.3 points and 3.3 assists while shooting 47.9 percent in 13 games played.

"Beno is a good all-around player," Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. "Beno can finish at the rim; he's a good open jump shooter. He's a veteran and he knows what's going on in the game. We've missed him out there, for sure."

Przybilla Suspended One Game For Throwing Ball At Referee

Dec 17, 2012 2:25 AM

Joel Przybilla has been suspended one game without pay for hitting a referee with the ball on Saturday night, the NBA announced Sunday.

The incident happened with just 1:36 left in the fourth quarter of the Los Angeles Clippers' 111-85 blowout win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Out of clear frustration with a foul called on Drew Gooden, Przybilla threw the ball at the referee and connected.

Przybilla will serve the suspension on Tuesday against the Indiana Pacers.

Ellis Trying To Shoot His Way Out Of Slump

Dec 10, 2012 10:26 AM

Monta Ellis is shooting just 38.9 percent this season, more than seven points less than his career mark of 46.4 percent.

"It's the beginning of the season; it's a long season," Ellis said. "You go into slumps sometimes. You've just got to keep kicking at it. My teammates and the coaches have the confidence in me. I just have to keep shooting my way out of it."
