Steve Novak suffered a left knee injury during the fourth quarter of last night’s game vs. Detroit. He underwent an MRI examination this morning that revealed a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL).

Novak is expected to miss the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

Novak was signed by the Bucks as a free agent on Feb. 21 and averaged 2.3 points over three games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 27 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals and four blocks in their win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.

Antetokounmpo effectively played point guard in the game for the Milwaukee Bucks, bringing the ball up the floor on every possession during the first six minutes with the starters.

"Giannis is playing at a very high level right now," said Jason Kidd. "After the break, we've made some changes, we've kind of given him the ball as the point guard. We haven't announced that he's the point guard, but we're letting him start the offense. On misses, we're trying to get the ball to him as quick as possible and have everybody else run. And he's made some incredible passes. The bounce pass to Jabari. The halfcourt pass [to O.J. Mayo], that was one of the best I've seen. And I think it just becomes contagious with everyone passing the ball. We've got the ball moving right now. Khris throwing it off the glass. Guys are moving the ball. It's fun to watch. They're all making the right play. It's a little bit different than the first half of the season where the ball was sticking and we weren't getting multiple touches. But it's nice to see the improvement and the triple-double from Giannis."

The Atlanta Hawks had interest in moving Jeff Teague to the Milwaukee Bucks for Khris Middleton.

Middleton is in the first season of a five-year, $70 million deal with the Bucks.

The Bucks turned down that offer from the Hawks.

Teague is signed through the 16-17 season. Milwaukee actually signed Teague to an offer sheet in 2013 that the Hawks matched.

The Milwaukee Bucks are the favorites to sign Steve Novak if he clears waivers on Sunday.

Novak was waived by the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

Novak played collegiately at Marquette and also went to high school in Wisconsin. Novak was a second round pick in 2006 by the Houston Rockets.

The Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves discussed a Ricky Rubio trade on deadline day but were unable to find common ground on a workable scenario.

The Wolves have been reportedly considering moving on from Rubio to acquire a point guard who is a better perimeter shooter.

The New York Knicks have also discussed a deal with the Wolves for Rubio.

The Phoenix Suns are discussing a Mirza Teletovic trade with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks' largest trade exception is just $5.2 million while Teletovic's salary is $5.5 million.

Any deal between the teams would have to contain other players as well.

The Milwaukee Bucks have ruled out trading Greg Monroe ahead of the deadline.

Monroe signed a three-year, $50 million deal with the Bucks in free agency, choosing them over the likes of the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers.

Teams have placed calls to the Bucks on Monroe, but the conversations didn't advance with the message being there was zero chance of a trade.

The Bucks have taken a step backwards this season after making a surprise playoff appearances in 14-15.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are unlikely to move Ricky Rubio before the trade deadline, but the organization wants to eventually pair Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins with a better shooter at the position.

The Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks are two possible destinations for Rubio.

Jason Kidd has long been enamored with Rubio.

Rubio won't be a free agent until 2019.

The New Orleans Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks have discussed a Greg Monroe trade.

Monroe is in the first year of three-year, $50 million deal with the Bucks. Monroe can opt out to become a free agent in 2017.

Monroe is originally from Louisiana and could be a good fit beside Anthony Davis.

The Milwaukee Bucks are rejecting interest they're receiving from rival teams on Jabari Parker, but Michael Carter-Williams remains available.

Parker's rookie season ended early due to a torn ACL.

The Bucks acquired Carter-Williams before the 2015 trade deadline.
