Jabari Parker Making Progress Rehabbing Torn ACL

Jul 28, 2017 8:45 AM

Jabari Parker is making progress recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee.

"I feel great," Parker told ESPN during a promotional appearance in Chicago on Thursday. "I tell myself every day I couldn't be in a better situation because it's going to make me a great man at the end of the day. It's going to make me mentally tough and it's going to help me for the future."

Parker initially tore his ACL in December of 2014 as a rookie and again in February of 2017.

"As of right now, the way I treat my body, it doesn't have a date," he said. "I can give you a little piece of information: I'm not the average person with this injury. Obviously I had it once, but I've done stuff so far that's exciting. But most importantly, I want to be able to jump as high, jump higher than I was, be faster than I was. That's the only way I'll play again."

Giannis Antetokounmpo: Teams Have To Make Right Moves To Keep Players

Jul 24, 2017 1:30 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo has said he has "loyalty in his DNA" but that doesn't mean he will spend his entire career with the Milwaukee Bucks.

At an event in the Philippines, Antetokounmpo was asked how long he plans on staying with the Bucks.

“A lot of people say they’re going to stay on a team and decide to move to a different team," said Antetokounmpo. "But you guys got to remember: A guy might want to stay on a team, but if the team doesn’t do the right things and the right moves for the player to become great. Because, KD, the reason he wanted to stay in OKC was to win, right? So, they didn’t win the championship. That’s why he decided to leave. So do not hate only the player. Because sometimes it’s not up to the player."

Antetokounmpo is entering the first season of a four-year, $100 million extension.

Jul 14, 2017 12:00 PM

The Milwaukee Bucks and John Henson would both like to find a trade scenario this offseason.

Henson has three years and $32 million remaining on his contract.

The Bucks are looking to shed salary since they are close to the hard cap.

Henson averaged 6.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in 19.4 minutes last season with the Bucks.

Derrick Rose To Meet Again With Bucks

Jul 14, 2017 11:58 AM

Derrick Rose and the Milwaukee Bucks are scheduling a meeting for this weekend.

Rose has already met once with the Bucks this offseason.

The main obstacle on an agreement with Milwaukee has been compensation.

Milwaukee is approximately $1.6 million over the tax. The Bucks have $7.6 million of the full mid-level exception available but can use only $4.4 million to sign a free agent. Exceeding a salary of $4.4 million would trigger the NBA hard cap and restrict the Bucks from exceeding salaries of $125.2 million.

The Bucks could trade John Henson to shed salary.

Bucks Interested In Signing Ian Clark

Jul 10, 2017 1:14 PM

The Milwaukee Bucks have interest in signing Ian Clark.

Clark would give the Bucks improved shooting in their backcourt rotation. Clark shot 37.7 percent on three-pointers last season with the Golden State Warriors.

“He’s better than anyone the Bucks got now,’’ an NBA scout said of Clark’s perimeter shooting skills.

Clark is seeking a contract worth $8 million.

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed Sterling Brown to a contract.

Brown, the 46th overall selection in the 2017 NBA Draft, was acquired by the Bucks on July 6 from Philadelphia for cash considerations. A 6-foot-6 guard from SMU, Brown played four seasons with the Mustangs, appearing in a program-record 136 games with 106 starts. As a senior in 2016-17, he was named to the All-AAC Second Team after averaging 13.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting a conference-high 44.9 percent from 3-point range. In his four seasons at SMU, Brown set the school record for career wins (109) and is second all-time with a 45.1 3-point shooting percentage for his career. Brown is a native of Maywood, Ill., and is the brother of Shannon Brown, who spent nine seasons in the NBA from 2006-2015.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Expresses Loyalty To Bucks

Jul 6, 2017 9:56 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo signed a four-year, $100 million extension with the Milwaukee Bucks less than 12 months ago but there's already speculation from Adrian Wojnarowski about how teams are considering how they can try to acquire him.

Antetokounmpo has an excellent chance of qualifying for the Designated Veteran Player Extension that would pay him 35 percent of the cap, which he can sign in the 2020 offseason. Antetokounmpo cannot become a free agent until after the 20-21 season.

Antetokounmpo responded to the speculation on his future on Twitter by showing his commitment to the Bucks.

Bucks Meeting With Derrick Rose

Jul 3, 2017 10:18 AM

The Milwaukee Bucks will meet with Derrick Rose on Monday.

Rose is receiving tepid interest on the free agent market.

Rose averaged 18.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 32.5 minutes per game in his first season with the New York Knicks. Rose was traded by the Chicago Bulls to the New York Knicks last June.

Rose's fit with the Bucks seems dubious due to the current construction of their roster and need for shooting.
