The Minnesota Timberwolves will sign Cam Reynolds of the Stockton Kings to a 10-day contract.

Reynolds went undrafted out of Tulane in 2018.

Karl-Anthony Towns believes he's "lucky to be alive" following a car accident last Thursday.

Towns said Monday that he had a 5 percent chance of surviving the accident, which occurred last Thursday.

"The accident could have went -- I'd say I had a 5 percent chance of making it out alive," Towns told reporters. "I hit the 5 percent mark. I'd say 4 percent was to be seriously injured, and 1 percent was to be minorly injured -- and I came out in the 1 percent."

Towns was in a Hyundai Santa Fe that had come to a complete stop in order to avoid a separate accident in front of them. Towns was then hit by a semi traveling 35-45 mph.

"It could have been much worse," he said. "In all honesty, I probably should not have made it out like I did."

Towns entered a concussion protocol following the accident, and was cleared to fly to New York. Ryan Saunders listed a timetable for his return as "day by day".

Towns had played in 303 straight games. 

The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed Isaiah Canaan to a second 10-day contract.

Canaan, who was originally signed to a 10-day contract by the Wolves on January 30, has appeared in five games with Minnesota this season, averaging 6.0 points and 3.6 assists in 16.8 minutes per game.

Andrew Wiggins is on a five-year, $146.5 million contract extension that many around the NBA view as one of the most onerous contracts in the league.

But a couple of teams had at least some level of interest in trying to trade for Wiggins on the cheap.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, however, expressed little interest in seriously discussing any Wiggins' scenarios.

Wiggins is averaging 17.8 points per game on sub-40 percent shooting this season.
