Arron Afflalo is part of a group of two to five people interested in purchasing the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The group will consist of a net worth of $10 billion. Afflalo would be the face of the group with venture capitalist Brock Berglund financing the buy.

Glen Taylor has put the Wolves up for sale and is also receiving interest from a group led by Kevin Garnett. The Wilfs of the Minnesota Vikings were approached but they're reportedly not interested.

Any potential buyer must commit to keeping the franchise in Minnesota.

The Wilf family has emerged as a serious candidate to purchase the Minnesota Timberwolves from Glen Taylor.

The Wilfs own the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL.

The Wifs bought the Vikings from Red McCombs in 2005 for $600 million. The Vikings are now valued at over $3 billion.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are for sale, but Glen Taylor won't sell the franchise to a group interested in relocating the team.

Target Center was extensively renovated at a cost of $140 million before the 17-18 season.

"Everybody’s been told it has to stay in Minnesota," said Taylor to The Athletic. 

"People have inquired who are interested but they want to move the team. They are not a candidate. We’ve made that very clear," said Taylor.

Kevin Garnett and a group of investors have serious interest in purchasing the Minnesota Timberwolves from Glen Taylor.

Taylor has retained a firm to help facilitate the sale of the Wolves.

Garnett has long expressed interest in purchasing the Wolves.

Glen Taylor has retained The Raine Group to sell the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Taylor bought the team for approximately $88 million in 1995.

Taylor is seeking at least $1.2 billion for the franchise that Forbes says is worth $1.38 billion. There are several parties who have already bid on the franchise and a deal could be reached within one month.

The sale isn't related to financial hardship created by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a source.
